He continued his admonishing for The SM Boss – Shatta Wale for the bravery he has exhibited in his music journey by crossing all borders and breaking the stereotypes of the industry and surviving against the event power house, Charter House. He reiterated that, “There is no Shatta without drama”.
During the interview, Ball J was required to list his 5 top new artists he will choose as role models in his new branch of talent exposé. He in no order of merit called Sarkodie, Guru, Kwaw Kese and Pappy Kojo and Wisa and Luther. He believed that these new artists saw the skies because they rode on the shoulders of good financial support and management teams.
To this Ball J acknowledged the fact that, for an artist to survive and break through the ever conclave Ghanaian Music industry, that artiste must be willing to pay his way through since key players of the industry which he mentioned a few as DJs, radio presenters, etc all need to be paid to do their jobs. He told musicians to pay their dues, as they are good and they will make it!
The Katiboom Hit Producer also had a bit of advice for musicians. When asked about what will make an artiste sell, and stay on for years to come, he replied that, “the first thing is Uniqueness”. He admonished them to stay unique in their talents and that was the only way for them to make it and survive for a long time.
